Get ready to relish the scrumptious plum cake at The Ashok, New Delhi soaked in selfless love of children from the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation as they join the chefs in cake mixing

As we enter the season of savouring plum cakes, ginger bread, turkey, roasted potatoes and much more, The Ashok, New Delhi ushered the spirit of festive season hosting a cake mixing event with special guests from the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation. With the hint of cinnamon in the air and hands clad in gloves, the tiny tots accompanied the chefs shoulder to shoulder as they generously added a rich mix dry fruits like nuts, raisins, apples, apricots, dried ginger along with glazed red cherries, orange peel, tutti frutti, black currants, spices and liquors. Both children and chefs worked hand in hand and the mixture was then transferred to jars and has now been left to mature. The mixture will be blended with the cake batter and baked to turn into scrumptious Christmas cakes.The hotel is gearing up for the upcoming festival of Christmas, a special menu will be curated serving the traditional Christmas dinner menu filled with classic dishes and desserts.

Ashok Travels and Tours signs MoU with CRPF

Ashok Travels and Tours, travel division of ITDC has signed a MoU with CRPF to provide online travel solution for booking airtickets pan India. The MoU was signed by Rajiv Anand, GM ATT and Sh. MS Bhatia, IPS, IG (Admin) on 26th Nov 2021 in presence of Sh. SD Paul, VP(F&A) and other senior officials from both the organisations.

ITDC organises awareness session to mark the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) organized an in-house training session on ‘Oncologist educative session’ for all its women executives at Hotel Ashok. The session was conducted by Dr. Neha Sehgal, Radiation Oncologist, Fortis hospitals, and Ms. Ranu Rana, Inspector CISF & Cancer Survivor to educate female employees about symptoms and causes of breast cancer. It was managed by ITDC’s Human Resource Development Division – Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (AIH&TM).

ITDC begins Vigilance Awareness Week with Integrity Pledge

India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (ITDC), hospitality major under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week starting from October 28, 2021, to November 02, 2021, with the theme of ‘Independent India 75: Self-reliance with integrity’. To commence the week, an oath-taking ceremony was held which was presided by Mr.Piyush Tiwari, Director Commercial & Marketing, ITDC.To promote transparency at work and better coordination among different departments, ITDC also organized a vendors’ interaction meet and sensitization program for employees on policies/procedures of the organization. Furthermore, all the departments of ITDC are organizing various activities & events to sensitize people about the threat posed by corruption and how people can collectively fight against it.

ITDC sensitises people about importance of cleanliness, observes ‘Swachhta Pakhwada

Aligned with the Prime Minister’s ‘Clean India Campaign’, India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) the hospitality major under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism observed Swachhta Pakhwada with an objective to spread awareness about importance of cleanliness. All the units under ITDC undertook various activities during this period such as cleanliness drive, slogan writing, painting competition etc. on the theme of clean India. The event started with ‘Swachhta Pledge’. ITDC began observance of Swachhta Pakhwada-2021 starting September 16th, 2021 and will continue till 2nd October,2021. The event was joined by all the employees, children of the staff members (ITDC) and students of Ashok Institute of Hospitality &Tourism Management (AIH&TM).

14 सितंबर को “हिंदी दिवस” के अवसर पर भारत पर्यटन विकास निगम लिमिटेड में हिंदी पर्व 2021 का शुभारंभ करते हुए, निदेशक (वाणिज्यिक व विपणन), श्री पीयूष तिवारी द्वारा निगम के पदाधिकारियों को “राजभाषा प्रतिज्ञा” ग्रहण करवाई गई। इस अवसर पर निदेशक महोदय ने समस्त अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों से अपना अधिक से अधिक सरकारी कार्य हिंदी में ही करने की अपील भी की।

Samrat Hotel celebrate the festivities of Raksha Bandhan by organizing a special workshop on Edible Rakhi

Samrat hotel , The property of ITDC organized a special Edible Rakhi making workshop on the side-lines of Raksha Bandhan on 19th August, 2021 at the hotel. The workshop was attended by key media and influencers. The workshop was led by Chef Amit Gothwal, Sr. Sous Chef at Samrat Hotel. The workshop was focused on familiarising attendees with the basics of edible rakhi making, its techniques, and new trends observed in the process of making desserts. Chef Amit demonstrated some quick and easy recipes on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan that one can prepare at home. Some of the key preparation from the workshop included – Edible Rakhi, Lauki ka Halwa and stuffed parmal. Apart from easy-to-follow recipes, the workshop also offered insights into kitchen chemistry like pigmentation, aromatic delights, and food science. Strict social distancing and sanitization guidelines were followed during the workshop.
