WELCOME TO ITDC

ITDC is a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Tourism. Incorporated on October 1, 1966. ITDC has played a key role in developing tourism infrastructure in the Country. Broadly, the main objectives of the Corporation are:

  • Construction, management, and marketing of Hotels & Catering units;
  • Providing tourist transport facilities;
  • Providing Duty-Free Shopping Facilities to the tourists;
  • Providing entertainment facilities to the tourists;
  • Providing convention and conference facilities;
  • Providing convention and conference facilities; Providing consultancy cum management
  • services and training for tourism and hospitality-related programs;
  • Production, distribution, and sale of tourist publicity material;
  • Promoting tourism through food festivals, fairs, and joint ventures in India and abroad
 

The Corporation provides a one-stop solution for Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality-related needs. Currently, the Corporation is running hotels, and restaurants at various places for tourists, besides providing transport facilities. In addition, the Corporation is engaged in the production, distribution, and sale of tourist publicity literature and providing duty-free shopping facilities to tourists at Seaports and Airports. The Corporation also has its presence in engineering-related consultancy services and the ACES Division handles infrastructure-related project works for Centre/various State Governments along with mounting of Sound and Light (SEL) Shows. Ashok Travel & Tours is a division that provides ticketing, tourist transport, tour packages, and cargo-related needs with reliable affordable services and having pan-India presence. The Ashok Institute of Hospitality & Tourism Management of the Corporation imparts training and education in the field of tourism and hospitality. Ashok Events is a leading event management agency handling Conferences, Exhibitions, Workshops/ Seminars, and other National and international events.

The Authorized Capital of the Corporation is Rs 150.00 crores and the Paid Up Capital as of 31.03.2025 is Rs 85.77 crores. The shareholding pattern as of 31.03.2025 is as under:

  • Qualified Institutional Buyers.                        3.12%
 

Presently, the network of ITDC consists of 4 Ashok Group of Hotels out of which 3 are in operation, 1 Restaurant, 4 Joint Ventures having 1 Hotel unit in operation, 4 Catering Outlets, 3 Transport Units, 14 Duty-Free Shops at Seaports, and 1 at Airport.

To reinvent itself in the changing scenario, ITDC besides consolidating its remaining business area, diversified into new service-oriented business activities like consultancy and execution of tourism and engineering projects, training/education in the tourism and hospitality sectors, event management and mounting of Sound & Light Shows.
